Applies to: ASUS SimPro Dock 2, not the first SimPro Dock. Exact display modes and laptop-specific features require the applicable compatibility list.

Important: six listed models have no native dock video

The detailed ASUS feature table marks HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA unavailable for P1412CEA, P1512CEA, L1400CDAY, L1500CDAY, BR1100FKA and BR1100CKA. Their USB and Ethernet support does not make them monitor-dock matches. See the exact exclusions.

Start with the compatibility list

The SimPro Dock 2 specification links its model list and names supported ExpertBook and other business models. Do not treat that as a certification of a consumer Zenbook or ROG combination. ASUS: SimPro Dock 2 specification and model list

Check the requested display mode

ASUS lists HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA outputs, with different stated resolution scopes. The short specification does not settle every refresh-rate or combined-output requirement. Keep those details unconfirmed until the correct table covers them.

Test the connection in stages

  1. Read SimPro Dock 2 on the dock label.
  2. Find the complete laptop model in the applicable ASUS support list.
  3. Use the specified dock power supply and host cable.
  4. Check one display and its requested mode before adding another.

Do not infer charging from the brick

The included adapter’s 180 W rating is not a statement that 180 W reaches every laptop. Confirm delivered host power and any model-specific wake or management features separately. Keep a working direct monitor route while investigating.
