Find the code before connecting

B1402CBA and B1400CEAEY are not interchangeable. The ASUS directory shows the feature findings on each model page. A dock’s Thunderbolt name does not establish Thunderbolt support on the laptop. ASUS: SimPro Dock 2 feature matrix, 30 June 2023 (PDF inside ZIP)

For a DisplayPort screen, use the documented DisplayPort output and a matching video cable. Select the matching input in the monitor’s menu. This diagram is a connection example; the exact monitor mode, laptop specification and firmware still need confirmation.

Read each feature separately

The individual 4K60 column must not be multiplied by the number of sockets. Check a combined display table before choosing two or three high-resolution screens.

If there is no picture

  1. Verify the exact model has native video marked available. If not, use the model-exclusions guide below.
  2. Power the dock and connect only one screen on HDMI or the documented DP output.
  3. Select the wired monitor input and try a known working cable at a lower office resolution.
  4. Check current ASUS laptop and dock firmware instructions. Ask IT before changing a managed machine.
  5. If a second screen causes the failure, record both modes and output sockets; investigate the combined limit instead of assuming either screen is broken.
