TERMS & DISCLAIMER
Terms of use and information disclaimer
Effective 8 September 2026
Connect Your Dock provides independent information to help you research device, dock and monitor connections. Our guides and tools are a starting point for checking your setup, not a guarantee that equipment will work together.
Information can be incomplete or incorrect
We aim to provide useful, accurate guidance, but errors, omissions and outdated information are possible. Manufacturer specifications, software, firmware, product variants and support policies can change. A source-review date records when documentation was examined; it does not promise continuous updates or mean that we physically tested the equipment.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website, content and tool results are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, suitability or fitness for your particular purpose. A listed or documented connection is not a certification, manufacturer endorsement, purchase guarantee or warranty of performance.
Verify before buying or changing your setup
Check your exact device and dock models, processor, operating system, firmware, monitor inputs, cables, power supply and required display modes against current manufacturer instructions. Confirm important purchasing requirements with the manufacturer or seller, including applicable return and warranty conditions. Follow your employer’s IT policies when using managed equipment.
Follow the manufacturer’s safety and update instructions. Do not bypass security controls, use an unsupported power supply or attempt a repair or firmware change you are not qualified or authorized to perform. Back up important data before making changes that could affect it. Obtain qualified technical assistance when needed.
Limits on responsibility and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Connect Your Dock and its operator disclaim liability for loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, this website, its tools, errors or omissions, or linked third-party information. This includes, where legally excludable, equipment damage, data loss, interruption, loss of income or profits, and the cost of an unsuitable purchase, replacement or repair.
These limitations apply only where the law allows them. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable. Nothing removes mandatory consumer protections, statutory rights or remedies available under applicable law.
Manufacturers, sellers and external links
Product names and trademarks identify the equipment discussed and belong to their respective owners. Connect Your Dock is not affiliated with or endorsed by a manufacturer unless expressly stated. Third-party websites, products, prices, availability, warranties and support are controlled by their respective providers. A link does not make their content or services our own, and their separate terms and privacy practices apply.
Commercial relationships
If we introduce advertisements, sponsored placements or affiliate links, relevant relationships will be disclosed clearly. Such relationships do not guarantee product suitability or change your need to verify a specific setup. Current publishing and commercial practices are described on our editorial approach page.
Using the site
Use the site lawfully and do not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access or misrepresent our guidance as manufacturer certification or hands-on testing. You may share links and use the available copy and print functions for your setup. Other uses remain subject to applicable intellectual-property law and the rights of source owners.
Changes and privacy
We may correct, update or remove content and change these terms. Updated terms will show their effective date; a change does not remove rights that already accrued under applicable law. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions apply only to the extent legally permitted.
See our privacy information for how this edition handles tool selections, shared links and hosting. These terms do not claim that a feedback submission or support request has been sent when you only copy a setup summary.
