One HDMI-input monitor through a USB-C video adapter. ASUS documents video-capable ports on UX3405; the exact adapter and requested monitor mode still need confirmation. Do not transfer this Intel model’s software advice to Snapdragon UX3407.

Check the box contents and the cables you already own before ordering. Monitor and dock model names alone do not identify a cable’s mode rating or direction.

If this exact arrangement fails

Charging works but the screen is dark
Check the adapter’s video capability and signal direction; charging is a separate USB-C function.
Windows detects the screen but shows nothing useful
Select the matching HDMI input on the monitor, then choose Extend in Windows display settings.
The model label says UX3407 instead
Open the UX3407 guide. Its ARM processor and driver requirements need their own evaluation.
  1. Connect only screen 1 and record its working input and mode.
  2. Add the next screen on the labelled route. Confirm separate windows on each screen.
  3. Check every selected mode, a sleep/wake cycle and a reconnect. Record any failure before changing another component.

Read the code, not just “Zenbook”

Use the underside model label or Windows device information to identify the complete model. The series name and screen size alone can point to different hardware. Keep the dock model separate from the laptop model.

Start with one direct screen

  1. Identify a monitor input and its supported picture mode.
  2. Use a video-capable cable or directional adapter from the documented USB-C port.
  3. Select that monitor input and test an ordinary extended desktop.
  4. Record the working mode before adding a dock or a second screen.

The port specification alone does not validate a whole two-monitor dock arrangement. Our checker shows the remaining mode check when the exact combination is missing.

Before buying a dock

Check the laptop’s required power against delivered host power, not the rating on the dock’s brick. If software is involved, get confirmation for the exact Windows architecture. Keep a working direct route as a comparison and keep a connection checklist.
