The laptop charges slowly or not at all

Check whether the dock supplies host power, whether it meets the laptop requirement, and what shares the power budget.

Use the laptop’s separate charger

UD-6950H does not charge the host. That is an intended limitation, not a charging fault. If its displays work, the existing dock can remain in use with a supported laptop charger.

Compare delivered host power with the laptop requirement

Check the dock’s cross-brand power limit, adapter variant and host cable rating. Some vendor charging features apply only to that vendor’s laptops. Use a supported separate charger if the documented dock delivery cannot meet the required workload.

Check the Anker 778 shared power budget

The published host maximum is 100 W, dropping to 65 W when both 30 W front USB-C charging ports are in use. Compare after removing those loads, then decide whether a separate laptop charger meets the requirement.

Compare with external charging loads removed

Disconnect optional charging devices and retry the laptop connection under the same workload. Consult the exact dock’s power-sharing table. A change identifies a useful condition to report; it does not establish a failed power supply.

Check the direct charging path

Inspect the supported charger/cable arrangement and the laptop’s charge-management status. Follow the laptop manufacturer’s charging guidance. A failure that also occurs without the dock should be isolated before replacing the dock.

Make one controlled charging comparison

Record charger model, required wattage, workload, warning message and whether the battery actually loses charge. Compare the supported direct charger with the dock under similar conditions.

Use iPad-specific display guidance

iPadOS has different external-window and display-count rules from macOS. The linked guide covers iPad Pro 11-inch M4; confirm the model before applying it to another iPad.
