The suffix changes the answer
Galaxy Tab S9 and Galaxy Tab S9 FE are different display choices. Samsung excludes the S9 FE and S10 FE families, including their larger variants, from HDMI output. A passive cable or ordinary HDMI dock cannot add that missing support. Open the Samsung model list and match the whole name. Samsung: wired DeX models and FE exclusions
Start with a simple wired connection
For a listed wired DeX tablet, choose a compatible USB-C DeX/HDMI accessory and a monitor with the matching input. A manufacturer’s wired DeX family listing is useful evidence for this route; it does not certify every USB-C hub’s charging, Ethernet, audio and display functions.
Keep these uses separate

Samsung notes that DeX for PC support changed with One UI 7. A video about an older PC workflow may not describe the current tablet-to-monitor task.
When charging works but the monitor is blank
- Check the complete tablet model and FE suffix.
- Confirm that Samsung lists the intended wired method.
- Select the correct monitor input.
- Use an accessory intended for video in the correct direction.
- Test one screen before adding peripherals or a larger dock.
Before buying a full dock
Write down which extra functions you need: charging, keyboard, mouse, Ethernet or audio. Check each against the exact accessory and tablet. Our model pages state when no full-dock match is established; that is more useful than presenting an unverified laptop dock as a tablet recommendation.
