Copy the exact machine type from your Lenovo support record into your private setup notes. Use the specification for that machine when checking ports and graphics. Do not reuse a Gen 4 specification because the chassis name looks familiar.

A practical Windows setup sequence

  1. Connect the powered dock to a video-capable laptop USB-C port. Attach one monitor and verify a picture before adding peripherals.
  2. Connect the second monitor using an output combination permitted by the WD19S manual. Set Windows to extend the desktop.

Turn a partial pass into a useful report

Record Intel or AMD, the exact laptop machine type, OS version, WD19S adapter and both monitor modes. Then separate the results: video, charging, USB, Ethernet and wake. A single “compatible” label cannot express a working dual-display setup with an unsupported dock button.

If Ethernet is the only failure, follow the wired-network sequence before changing video cables. If failures appear only after sleep, retain the working configuration and use the recovery log. Do not apply a firmware package intended for another dock variant simply because the external case looks similar.
