The word Pro appears in two different places

A concrete two-screen choice

Plugable reports two 4K60 screens through TBT4-UDZ on M5 Pro/Max, with current video IC firmware required. Keep that firmware condition in the buying decision. The report’s Pro/Max scope is not extended to base M5 here. Plugable: reported M5 Pro/Max tests and firmware conditions

Planning a third or fourth screen

First separate the Mac’s total display limit from the dock’s limit. TBT4-UDZ remains a two-screen Mac dock. A further display needs a separately checked route or a different dock arrangement. The finder does not invent a four-screen plan merely because M5 Max supports four. Plugable TBT4-UDZ: host, output groups and charging

Write down all screens at once, including the desired resolution and refresh rate. A high-refresh mode on one output can change the combined arrangement.

Keep the charger decision separate

Compare the dock’s host delivery with your actual requirement, especially on 16-inch systems. A two-screen video test does not establish fast charging or full power under load. Keep the supplied charger available until you have checked both. Charging troubleshooting.
