Read the whole dock name

WD25, WD25Z and WD25TB4 are distinct selections. Smart and Pro variants share some compatibility columns in Dell’s matrix, but that does not make their management features identical. Open the dock directory to see the grouped scope.

Compare the power requirement

A dock’s maximum delivery is a ceiling under the right conditions. Some workstations still need a separate charger, including models with a power-range limitation. Check the connection generation

A Thunderbolt 5 dock does not upgrade a Thunderbolt 4 host. Likewise, a supported USB-C fallback does not retain every Thunderbolt feature. Keep connection support, screen output and charging as three separate decisions.

Choose from your requirements

  1. Find your computer in the model directory.
  2. Remove docks marked unsupported for that exact configuration.
  3. Check the number and combined modes of your screens.
  4. Check whether one-cable charging is realistic for your workload.
  5. Compare available ports and management needs before price.
