Start with the model code

Latitude 7440, Latitude 7440 with a different chassis, and a similarly numbered Inspiron are different choices. Search the complete name from system information. Where Dell combines a laptop and convertible in one row, our page keeps that combined scope. Browse Dell models.

Keep the adapter distinction

WD19/WD19S has separate 130 W and 180 W adapter columns. These describe different configurations; the adapter label is not the wattage reaching the laptop. A dock sold without its matching supply is an incomplete purchase comparison.

Check the screens after the pairing

  1. Write down each monitor’s model and intended resolution and refresh rate.
  2. Identify the outputs you intend to use simultaneously.
  3. Read the dock’s display table for the actual host connection.
  4. Check whether a driver or workplace permission is required.
  5. Verify extended workspaces, reconnecting and charging during the return period.

Where the data comes from

Each model table links to the exact page of the reviewed document. Footnotes are translated into plain English; support marks remain separate from those explanations. We record the document date and review date, and do not claim that Connect Your Dock physically tested the combinations. Dell’s compatibility guide and current download
