Applies to: ASUS Triple 4K Thunderbolt 4 Dock DC500 only; host, OS, hardware revision and monitor-mode conditions still apply.

Identify this exact dock

The phrase “Triple 4K” is conditional. ASUS requires suitable input capabilities and DSC compression for the stated three-screen arrangement.

Match the complete model printed on the unit. Two HDMI outputs plus downstream Thunderbolt. Triple 4K60 requires the stated host and DSC conditions. ASUS DC500: display compression and 96 W host charging

Before connecting

Up to 96 W to the host; the 150 W adapter rating is not delivered laptop power.

Use the intended powered-dock setup and host cable. Record each monitor’s input, resolution and refresh rate. Keep those requirements separate from the dock’s total port count.

Bring the desk up one screen at a time

  1. Connect the specified power supply to the dock.
  2. Connect the laptop using thunderbolt upstream connection to the computer.
  3. Attach one screen on a listed video path and select its wired input.
  4. Confirm the operating system recognizes that screen before adding another supported screen.
  5. Select the required modes and an extended desktop where supported. Check charging, reconnecting and your essential applications.

A useful check when something fails

If two ordinary screens work but the third fails or loses its desired mode, inspect the combined-display requirements before replacing cables at random. Record the exact host GPU, chosen outputs and all three requested modes.

Change one part of the arrangement at a time. Keep a note of the working monitor, cable and port so you can reproduce the result. If the remaining requirement has no documented answer, ask the manufacturer about the exact models instead of assuming the entire dock is defective.

Is it worth buying or replacing?

A shared ASUS brand does not establish a complete setup. Mac OS support on a specification page does not promise three independent Mac screens. Keep Mac chip limits and the output topology unresolved until the exact arrangement is documented.

Use the setup checklist to compare complete arrangements, including any adapters and separate charger. The evidence here is documentation-based; Connect Your Dock has not physically tested this desk.
