Which dock options should you consider?
Dell documents WD22TB4, WD19S with the 180 W supply, WD19TB/TBS and WD19DC/DCS in single-cable mode for Precision 3560. Those are the practical starting choices. WD19S with the 130 W supply, UD22 and HD22Q are marked unsupported for this model; do not treat their USB-C plug as sufficient evidence.
WD22TB4 or WD19TB / WD19TBS
Dell lists these Thunderbolt families for the Precision 3560, and they provide a direct Thunderbolt host path.
Check first: Connect to the laptop port Dell identifies with Power Delivery and match delivered host power to the original 65 W, 90 W or 130 W adapter.
WD19S with 180 W supply
This exact WD19S power configuration is marked supported in Dell's matrix.
Check first: Do not collapse it into a generic WD19S result: the 130 W-supply configuration is marked unsupported for Precision 3560.
WD19DC / WD19DCS
Dell lists this family for the model when reusing an existing workstation dock.
Check first: Use Dell's specified single-cable mode. Confirm the exact unit, supply and delivered charging before relying on one-cable power.
Connect displays and power
- Computer cable
- Use the dock's specified Thunderbolt/USB-C cable in the Precision 3560 Thunderbolt 4 port that Dell marks with Power Delivery. The manual distinguishes that port from the other Thunderbolt 4 port; do not assume both accept charging.
- Display cables
- Start with one monitor on a direct dock HDMI or DisplayPort output. Add the next screen only after the first reaches its required mode. The laptop's HDMI 2.0 port is useful for an isolation test.
- Power
- Read the wattage on the original Dell adapter: the model was offered with 65 W, 90 W and 130 W USB-C supplies. Compare that with dock host delivery, not merely dock-brick wattage.
- Display ceiling
- An exact combined dock display ceiling was not established in the reviewed Precision 3560 documentation. Keep requested resolution, refresh rate and each cable path explicit.
First recovery steps by symptom
The dock works, but the laptop does not charge
- Move the host cable to the Thunderbolt 4 port Dell marks with Power Delivery.
- Check the original laptop adapter for a 65 W, 90 W or 130 W rating and compare that with dock host delivery.
- Confirm the dock has the specified AC supply; use the original supported charger if the dock cannot meet the requirement.
USB or Ethernet works, but the monitor is blank
- Reduce to one monitor and one direct dock video cable.
- Test the same monitor and cable from the laptop's HDMI 2.0 port when the monitor has HDMI input.
- If direct HDMI works, return to the dock path and check its video cable, selected monitor input, firmware and graphics driver before adding another screen.
Nothing on the dock works
- Verify dock AC power and reconnect the manufacturer-specified host cable without extensions.
- Try a known-good USB accessory on the charging-capable Thunderbolt 4 port.
- Only after cable and port isolation, use Dell's exact-model support page to check current BIOS, Thunderbolt and graphics updates.
Still unknown: Dell's reviewed documents do not establish every exact display count/mode for each supported dock, nor whether a lower-power arrangement will sustain an exact workstation load. Monitor, cable, firmware and workload results remain untested here.

Which docks support Dell Precision 3560?
“Supported” is Dell’s model-level entry. The screen resolution, cabling and delivered charging power still need to match your desk. Grouped dock variants share the stated matrix column.

Exact source rows and document scope
German source labels are translated as supported or not supported. A negative mark remains negative even when a footnote describes a power limitation. Missing entries are shown separately.
Before choosing a dock
- Match the entire device name, including processor, generation and chassis variant.
- Record your screen models, inputs and intended resolutions and refresh rates.
- Confirm those screens work together through the proposed dock outputs.
- Check the supplied power adapter, laptop charging requirement and software permission.
